In November 2013 we launched our Seniors to Soldiers campaign.
This annual campaign was created and led by the late Jean Sorensen. It's with great pride we continue her legacy.
Annual Connected Living “Day of Service” and holiday theme.
Connected Living partners again with MA based nonprofit Operation Troop Support to deliver personal messages of support from seniors to active duty troops stationed overseas. S2S events are held at select senior living communities across the country, and the program is opened up to all communities and clients throughout the holiday season. Returned cards are printed and provided for delivery to soldiers far from home during the holidays.
Purposeful. Spiritual. Socially Connected.
Helping seniors to send personal messages of gratitude and encouragement to active duty soldiers speaks directly to a profound sense of patriotism for this generation. And a strong desire to contribute.
Ongoing Education. Personal Validation. Satisfaction.
Transforming a moment of person-centered interest into a stimulating Lifelong Learning opportunity. Seniors learn the relevance of technology while they access vibrant, online cards that are ready for personal messages, and then email them for printing & hand delivery to a soldier stationed far from home.
“The cards themselves were wonderful, but the thought behind them, knowing that the good people of America had not forgotten us, lifted our spirits and made us feel that they cared… that we were important.”
